The Lookout, a Lakeside Village.

Today I start the Stepanov Photography Blog, I will try to keep this blog relevant and updated regularly.

Many people don't know that I photograph homes, hotels, and resorts. Real Estate photography is one of my favorite parts of my business. Actually, it accounts for more than half of my business. I've also been fortunate to shoot for multiple magazines, I've had many cover shots and dozens of multi-page spreads...

So I was happy to photograph the model home for The Lookout project in Chelan. What a very unique home with lots of character. Looks like it will be a very nice community when the build out is completed.

I knew I wanted to shoot the exterior at twilight for a more dramatic effect, I set up a couple of Radio triggered flashes focusing on the two facing sides of the house, I set the exposure at 13 seconds. I drove my car out of the frame and triggered my camera which was set up on a Tripod via a radio controlled trigger, which in turn triggered the flashes at the end of the exposure. I managed to drive my car through the 13 second exposure with the lights on for a unique photograph that conveys a feeling of an inhabited community.

Enjoy just a few of the 26 finished images.
